Sam Shafer is a California-based illustrator conjuring strange little guys on screens since childhood—back when unsupervised internet access was still considered a reasonable parenting decision. Sam dedicates their artistic life to expressing the beautiful mess of organic existence, one freakish creature at a time. Their portfolio is a menagerie of beasts born from flesh and imagination, with the occasional cutesy critter as a refresher.

After cutting their artistic teeth at Norco College, Sam is currently pursuing their BFA at Chico State.
